It has been a while since I have updated my site and I thought I would add a few more peices I have done along with a short description of how things have been going in my life. I have finished one year now at UCSC and it is going very well. I became the faculty liason for SAM (Student Art Movement). We are a group on campus who are collectively changing the way in which the art department functions. We are working on both on the student level and the connection between faculty and students. Last quarter we acquired an on campus office as well as created a resource page for artists to begin to research and looks at grants and residencies both in the United States and international We also created our own website where you can reach all of this information: SAM Website As well as being a member of SAM, I have been exploring the different sculpture media. I have been focused on using the wood shop and metal shop and recently received the Irwin Grant in order to pay for a wooden abstract water sculpture that I have been waiting to explore. I look forward to posting more on that once I finish the piece in which I proposed. There is so much more I could say but I think that this is more than enough for now. I will update you all more later on in the summer.
